different decorations

if any of you are like me, you like to put your christmas decorations up the second thanksgiving is over. i was able to put up most of mine already (hooray).

just wanted to share a fun decorating idea. november's Real Simple magazine had a great alternative to popcorn garlands. on page 64 they showed a garland made of packing peanuts. i thought this would be such a fun idea for an office.

november etsy favs

thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. my side of the family is small, so we share an intimate t-day lunch with my sister and parents. we always eat in the dining room and use mom's fancy china. after that, my husband and i head to his parents' house to have dessert with 40+ relatives. it's quite a contrast but we wouldn't have it any other way. :)
